Boyer 2010

2010 Fort Plain graduate, Jack Boyer, is a farmer… that has a love for track and field… and the Red Soxs ! His mom asked me to make him a graduation cake that combined his school colors with his interests. I didn’t think that maroon and white could be easily combined with Red and Navy Blue… so we agreed on a regular graduation cake with Fort Plain colors and adding Jack in a Red Soxs jersey. I fashioned the fondant Jack a Fort Plain track and field uniform and  a Red Sox jersey with “BOYER” on the back… and had him sport a Red Sox ball cap (a candle) over his short brown hair (Tootsie Roll). Then, I sat him down on a bale of hay (the bale of hay was his mom’s idea to tie in the farming). I’m sure he wasn’t as tall and thin as the real Jack, but at least it was probably just as sweet!

Congratulations Jack!!

Thank you soooo much for Jacks cake. I was looking for something a little different than the “normal” flat graduation cakes that you order from the stores, i’m so happy a friend told me about you!!! Everyone just loved it, and it tasted even better than it looks !!!
